many honest and upright officers April 22, 2011

Leena Mehendale April 22, 2011

there are many honest and upright officers in service, but there is a high wall between them and people. Both need to make joint efforts to demolish the wall.

  • Milind Ranade efforts, like...? any examples...?
  • Shiv N Sharma Yes 1. Independent forums headed by ex officers.. 2. mail Boxes .. where people can send them mails which they can access confidentially and take suitable actions or suggest suitable remedies...3 Neat NGO's etc etc
  • Vinod Kaushik i agrre with Shiv
  • Leena Mehendale Me too agree with Shiv. And something like "तुमचे लेखक तुमच्या भेटीला"
  • Abhay Padhye About 7-8 weeks ago Dr. Vijay Kelkar in one of the public gatherings in Mumbai had warned (probably was his guess or expectation of public reaction) that " the high food prices, leaky public distribution system and, corruption is really hurting the population. Without any signs and advance warning public protest may turn in to a violent like a revolution ". Within a week things started happening in Tunisia-Egypt. And then in India, Anna Hazares's movement got an unprecedented mass support. Public patience is thining out.
  • Leena Mehendale अगदी बरोब्बर वर्णन आहे.असा उद्रेक होण्यास सुरुवात झाली की तो कोणालाच आवरत नाही.
  • Vinod Kaushik Do i understand Marathi language? No..i think i cant understand it..sorry ma'm i cant understand ur comment , thats no comments frm me
  • Leena Mehendale Vinod Kaushik-- what i meant is that such erruption can occur any time like a volcano, which will then be very painful.
  • Vidyadhar Date it would be good to make known in some way the names of honest officers. this will encourage them and in a way expose the other guys.
  • Lokesh Sharma It again necessary to bring out those who have silent phase of honesty to make other honest & never think for those who always try to blame honest people to stop honesty, truth & such movement...come & start be unite......
  • Snehal Mahamuni Honest people or officers should come forward to take up the responsibility(s) on their shoulders to lead the mission successfully
  • Shree Patil Honest people honestly keep mum till they honestly retire
  • Pradnya Samant Abt 8 yrs back, I had some work which involved Charity Commissioner's off, MCGM and Mumbai Collector Office. For one year I ran from pillar to post in all offices, where entire staff was un cooperative. Being a woman they felt a little shy of asking money. But nevertheless suggested. Slowly and steadily I kept moving upwards w/o disturbing their protocol. The Charity comm. office told me the procedure will take six months. Next day I met the Charity Commissioner himself. He asked me to wait for 15min and handed over the documents in 15 min. flat. In MCGM I was told tens of rules for not doing my work. I met Dy. Comm. Vijaysingh Patankar and he cleared all papers in next 2-3 days. Finally in collector's office same story. I met then collector, Debashish Chakravarty, who himself called for my file. It was Monday and he told me come on Wednesday. Wednesday the property card was ready, which was being dilly dallied by staff for over a year. My experience with senior bureaucrats and senior police have been good. At junior levels its trouble
  • Leena Mehendale "Shree Patil Honest people honestly keep mum till they honestly retire: true. that is why if that wall is broken they will have support
  • Shree Patil mam honestly speaking the honest attempt of breaking wall honestly results in honest VRS from Govt service
  • Shree Patil "there are many honest and upright officers in service, but there is a high wall between them and people. Both need to make joint efforts to demolish the wall." BUTWHY NOT VISIBLE.and some honest officers behavior is TOO ADARSH
  • Leena Mehendale shree, do u really believe that each and every person in the country is corrupt? If not, then there has to be some method by which those non-corrupt will be effective. I spoke of honest officers in govt because the govt has a huge impact on people.
  • Anupama Gunde its really true madam. its media respsibility to bring these officers in limelight.
